Peek-a-Boo! When Is the Best Time to Come See Us?

From gender reveals to chubby cheeks—finding that “sweet spot” for your 4D ultrasound.

So, you’ve got a “bun in the oven” and you’re itching to get a look at them. We totally get it! The suspense of pregnancy is real, and waiting 40 weeks to see that face feels like an eternity.

But a common question we get here at White Stork & Co. is: “When should I actually come in?” Depending on what you’re hoping to see, the “perfect” time might change. Here is our “cheat sheet” to making the most of your visit to our Mt. Juliet studio.

• The Early Surprise (14–20 Weeks)
  Can’t wait to buy those tiny outfits? If you’re dying to know if you’re “Team Pink” or “Team Blue,” you can head over as early as 14 weeks. At this stage, your little one is still a bit “space-alien-chic” (very thin and wiggly!), but they are incredibly active. Watching them do backflips and stretches on the big screen is a memory you’ll never forget.
• The “Chubby Cheek” Sweet Spot (26–32 Weeks)
  If you want those iconic, heart-melting photos where you can actually see who the baby looks like, this is the window for you!   Around 28 to 30 weeks is our absolute favorite time. Why? Because the baby has started to put on some “baby fat,” giving them those adorable full cheeks and defined features, but they still have enough room to move around. After 33 weeks, things get a little crowded in there, and they might start hiding behind the placenta or tucking their face into your ribs!

How to Prep Like a Pro

To get those “Wall of Fame” worthy shots, we have two big tips:

• Hydrate like it’s your job:
  We know, we know—you’re already running to the bathroom every five minutes. But drinking plenty of water for 3-5 days before your appointment makes the amniotic fluid crystal clear. Think of it like cleaning the window so we can see inside!
• The Sugar Rush:
  About 15 minutes before you walk through our doors, have a little fruit juice or a small snack. It usually wakes the baby up just enough for them to put on a show for the camera.
• Bring the Whole Crew
  The best part about White Stork & Co.? You don’t have to come alone. Our studio is built for your support system. Whether it’s the grandparents-to-be, your best friend, or the future big brother or sister, we have plenty of room for everyone to share in the “A-ha!” moment.
